Autopot's ROOT CONTROLS are spare parts for 1POT systems, EASY2GROW and for growers using CocoMat in a tray.
 
Their purpose is to prevent roots from running into the AQUAVALVE. They are very effective due to the special coating that blocks root development.

It is, however, a good idea to lift the pot from time to time to check that the roots have not broken through the barrier. If this is the case, you can simply cut off the roots with a pair of scissors. This cannot damage the plant.

Although the discs will last several seasons it is advisable to replace them at the beginning of each season, this will prevent the spread of any disease.
